Mary Carabeau

Mary Carabeau

Mary took her first yoga class in 1998 as a means to help manage the stress of her corporate job in New Jersey. She immediately realized the benefits not only to her state of relaxation, but to the state of her body which had been compacted by years of weight training and running.

In 2009 she completed her training at Asheville Yoga Center where she had the honor of learning from Stephanie Keach, Shala Worsley and Cindy Dollar among others. In addition, she has attended workshops with Jenny Otto and Steve and Elaine Nelson. She looks forward to a lifetime journey of deepening her knowledge and practice so she may share what she learns with others.

Mary credits her yoga practice with her "glass half full" outlook on life, and with relieving the low back pain she suffered with for years. Her classes are vinyasa flow style and she teaches with a light hearted and fun approach. She has been married to Scott for ten years and they share a beautiful daughter, Elena.
