An expectant couples workshop for the body, mind and spirit
August 16 - 17, 2008
Saturday & Sunday 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
This seven-hour intensive workshop focuses on massage and yoga
techniques to benefit the expectant mother, her partner and their baby.
Workshop will include:

Couples Prenatal Yoga and Relaxation
This is easy yoga for optimal stretching and deep relaxation.
Fun to do together.

Mom Massage
This teaches partners to give a simple prenatal massage that can be
done on the side of the bed. It is designed to give relaxation and
relief for common discomforts.

Partners Massage
This teaches moms to massage their partners with simple shiatsu and Thai
yoga massage techniques. It is designed to give the pregnant mom a workout
to strengthen her back, hips and thighs as well as nurturing the partner.

Labor Massage
This is massage techniques, positions and acupressure points to assist in
the process of labor.

Newborn and Infant Massage
Studies have shown many benefits to the newborn and infant when massage is
performed daily for 15 minutes a day. Learn how to relieve your baby's stress,
increase body weight, strengthen the immune system as well as receiving the
added relaxation benefit to the giver.

Relaxation, Visualization and Breathing
Learn to use relaxation and visualization along with various breathing
techniques during pregnancy, labor and birthing.
