Yoga Fundamentals

A Six Week Introductory Yoga Course

Thursday Evenings - 6:30pm - 7:45pm

Yoga Fundamentals is a novice's introduction to yoga that runs over a six week time frame. You will learn basic yoga poses, breathing, transition and relaxation that will guide you into proper position and Hatha flow techniques.

This course will slowly guide you into a complete yoga practice. Yoga concepts and benefits along with your needs and issues will be discussed in the first class. Each class will introduce 3-4 new poses, with detailed directions and practice time. The poses will be broken down showing proper alignment and techniques. Classes will begin with a warm-up, revisit previous class poses and end with relaxation.


Course will include:

  • Yoga concepts & benefits, the role of props, anatomy of the sun salutation

  • Floor stretches and twists

  • Standing poses

  • Balance and backbends

  • Guided relaxation

  • Handout containing all poses covered in the course

$72 per session
